After a much-needed vacation for Team India ahead of 5-match Test series against England, the squad has returned to the base. Virat Kohli and Co. have started their preparations at the Durham County Cricket Club, without a few key members like Rishabh Pant and Wriddhiman Saha who are currently in isolation. BCCI also shared a few images of the players from the practice session on Saturday where Rohit Sharma, Ishant Sharma, KL Rahul, Mohammed Shami etc. could be seen sweating out on a sunny day in Durham.

However, it is the captain of the team who is always fully focussed when such pictures are released. The fans were curious to know if Virat Kohli was back with the team or not. While a few images released earlier had confirmed that the 32-year-old had joined the squad in Durham, everyone was still awaiting to see him in nets.

King Kohli back in action

While BCCI delighted fans when they posted an image of him batting in nets, the Indian skipper gave everyone more reasons to smile after he himself took to social media to share with everyone how he was feeling to be back in action. Virat Kohli posted two images on Twitter from his batting session at nets in Durham.

In one image, the right-handed batsman is looking fully focused in his batting stance as he looks towards the bowler. In the other image, Kohli can be seen looking at the ball as he implants his front foot and looks set to play a delightful shot.

The Indian captain was undoubtedly happy to be back in action as he would have been raring to come out on the field since the WTC Final defeat at the hands of New Zealand. Kohli expressed his joy of returning to action with a caption, "When you absolutely love what you do, everything just flows," while adding heart and bat emojis.

Kohli would want to make the most out of practice match

The one thing that Virat Kohli and Co. lacked during the WTC Final was some match practice as they had not played a single game in English conditions going into the match. The team has learnt from their mistake and are set to play a 3-day warm-up match against County Championship XI, starting on July 20. Kohli would certainly be looking to make the most out of this opportunity to get some much-needed practice as he aims to guide his side to a famous series win in England.
