Historically the former Indian skipper Virat Kohli has been one of the finest performers across all the formats for the Indian team. However, his form in the last two years has been rather disappointing, wherein he has been unable to reach three-digit scores. It is evident, that Kohli scored his last international hundred against Bangladesh in November 2019.

In the ongoing T20I series between England and India, the 31-year-old made a return in the second fixture but was dismissed on a single digit by a mistimed shot. On Sunday, the talented batter was impressive with his boundary towards the deep mid-wicket area, and then followed it up with a glorious six towards the straight boundary.

It looked as if he has returned to his old form, but on the subsequent ball, Kohli gave an easy-catching opportunity to Jason Roy at silly mid-off and made his way back for 11 off six. The cricket-watching audience has gone berserk on the social medial platform, Twitter and a healthy debate is being taken place, regarding his participation in the T20 World Cup later this year.

His wicket certainly brought India into a pressure situation, and Rohit was dismissed soon after. But Suryakumar Yadav played his career-best knock to still keep Team India in the hunt for winning the game in the final few overs.
