Defending champions Mumbai Indians on Sunday confirmed that all their foreign players and support staff have reached their respective destinations safely, after the 1PL 2021 was suspended earlier this month. Known to be one of the most successful franchise, MI consists of a total of 14 foreign members including players and support staff, who left India after the T20 league came to a halt on May 4.
Who all have still not reached home from the MI camp?
Mumbai Indians’ Australian players including Chris Lynn, Nathan Coulter Nile along with support staff and head coach Mahela Jayawardane have reached Maldives, via a charter flight. They will be completing mandatory 14-day quarantine in Maldives, before heading to their respective home countries. “The Australians will remain in Maldives, until the conclusion of the travel pause pertaining to flights from India to Australia” mentioned Cricket Australia in a joint statement given by CA and ACA.
However, the franchise confirmed that all-rounder Kieron Pollard has reached Trinidad safely, while South African wicketkeeper- batsman Quinton de Kock and Marco Jansen have safely landed in Johannesburg. They further mentioned that the Kiwis including Adam Milne, Trent Boult, Jimmy Neesham and support staff have reached Auckland via a charter flight arranged by the franchise.
