In the ongoing Women’s T20 Challenge 2022, Kiran Navgire shot to fame by hitting 69 off 34 balls for Velocity against Trailblazers. With her power hitting and ability to hit shots all around the park, she impressed the cricket fraternity in her debut match in the tournament.
She was a part of the Maharashtra state athletics team in 2009-10 and has won more than 110 medals across the district, state, and national levels. In her college days, she took part in the games like cricket, javelin throw, shot put, and 100 meters. She made her debut in domestic cricket in 2018/19, while playing for the Maharashtra team. In the 2021/22 edition of the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy, she decided to ply her trade as a guest player for the Nagaland team.
In 7 matches of the Senior Women's T20 trophy 2021/22, Kiran Navgire smashed 525 runs at an average of 131.25 and a strike rate of 172.69. She was the highest run-scorer in the tournament and scored 162* off 76 balls against Arunachal Pradesh in one of the fixtures to secure the highest-ever individual score for any Indian batter in a T20 fixture. Her knocks helped the team to seal the knockouts stage but failed to seal a place in the quarterfinals.
