The Indian Premier League (IPL) is all about opportunities for youngsters. One such opportunity was handed to Kuldeep Sen on Sunday when he made his tournament debut, playing for the Rajasthan Royals against Lucknow Super Giants.
It should be noted that Sen was bagged by the inaugural champions at his base price of INR 20 lakhs at the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. The 25-year-old was born in Rewa in Madhya Pradesh and has experience in playing first-class and T20 cricket for the same state.
In his very first game itself, Sen was put under pressure as he was given the responsibility of bowling the final over of the match with the captain trusting him to defend 15 off 6 deliveries. However, the right-arm fast bowler did well and conceded only 11 runs against a dangerous-looking Marcus Stoinis.
He finished with 1 for 35 in his IPL debut.
