Indian weightlifter Lovepreet Singh made his country proud by winning bronze medal in the men's 109kg category at the Commonwealth Games 2022 on August 3. Lovepreet lifted a total weight of 355kg to win the bronze medal in the Birmingham Games.

The 24-year-old Lovepreet Singh, who currently serves in Indian Navy, started his career in the sport with the Navy weightlifting team in 2010. He has won gold at the Junior Commonwealth Championships in the 105kg category and bronze at the Asian Youth Championships in 2017.
