The cricket fraternity witnessed one of the most thrilling draws in Test cricket on Sunday. England, despite being 0-3 down in the series, showed immense grit and resilience against a fiery Aussie bowling attack on final day in Sydney. It all went down the wire but the visitors somehow managed to weather the storm. As it turned out, Pat Cummins and Co. failed to take the final wicket with match ending in an epic draw.

In no time, fans went berserk on social media as Ben Stokes, Steve Smith and Test cricket were trending on Twitter. The netizens were praising Stokes for his gritty knock and Smith for getting his side back into the contest in final moments of the game. Meanwhile, everyone was hailing it as a victory of red-ball cricket with SCG producing another thrilling game. However, much to everyone's surprise, Dhoni and Gambhir were also trending on Twitter after the match.

KKR's post initiates drama on social media

As people failed to understand any reason behind the same, the dots could finally be connected. It all started when Kolkata Knight Riders put up a tweet on their account.

In the post, the franchise drew parallels between the attacking fielding set-up by Aussie captain Pat Cummins in 4th Ashes Test (when Jack Leach was batting) and the one by KKR captain Gautam Gambhir in IPL 2016 (when MS Dhoni was batting).

This is why the duo, who is often considered as rivals by fans, was trending as the netizens were expressing their views on the post shared by franchise.

Ravindra Jadeja comes up with an epic response

It is a widely-known fact that MS Dhoni is not that active on social media and KKR would have hoped that they would get away with the post without any fuss. However, Ravindra Jadeja (who has played under MSD's captaincy over the years) was in no mood to stay quiet.

Reflecting on KKR's caption which stated, "That moment when a classic move in Test cricket actually reminds you of a T20 master stroke," Jadeja came up with an epic response. He tweeted, "Its not a master stroke! Just a show off," firing back at the franchise.

On Sunday, it was once again proved that no matter who is playing and what is happening in international circuit, the Indian fans, cricketers and IPL franchises somehow find a way to get all the attention on social media.
