Delhi Capitals cricketer Amit Mishra is one of the most successful bowlers in the history of IPL, with 160 wickets in 150 IPL games. The leg-spinner is a veteran and undoubtedly one of the legends in the game. As the 38-year-old got set to play his 151st IPL match on Saturday, he was presented with new merchandise ahead of the contest.

Mishra playing his 100th match for Delhi

The leg-spinner was presented with a new cap from head coach Ricky Ponting before the start of the match. It was a special tribute from the Delhi franchise as Mishra was playing his 100th match for them. Having played 95 matches in IPL and 4 CT20 contests, the 38-year-old stepped on to the field to complete a century of matches for Delhi Capitals. The experienced campaigner received a huge round of applause from his teammates and also received a pat on the back from Sam Billings.

As Chennai Super Kings went on to register a total of 188/7 after the end of 20 overs, the Delhi bowlers had a really tough outing. Amit Mishra registered figures of 3-0-27-0 and was the third-best bowler in terms of economy. Although the leggie remained wicketless on Saturday, he would certainly be hoping to increase his impressive wicket-tally in the upcoming matches in IPL 2021.
