As Babar Azam's side announced their playing XI for the second T20I against South Africa, the fans were shocked to see one notable exclusion from the side. Pakistan's star batsman Fakhar Zaman, who scored two back-to-back centuries in the recently-concluded ODI series, was not named in the playing XI for the contest on Monday. However, the reason behind him not playing the match has now been revealed.

Zaman ruled out of the 2nd T20I due to leg allergy

The left-handed batsman is notably suffering from a minor allergy on his left leg. This is the reason why he has been rested for the game and has been replaced by Sharjeel Khan in the side.

It is definitely going to be a big blow for Pakistan coming into this crucial encounter. Zaman, who batted at No. 3 in the previous contest, had played a fiery cameo of 27 runs off 19 balls before losing his wicket to Tabraiz Shamsi. Talking about the contest on Monday, Pakistan have won the toss and have opted to bat first. It will be interesting to see if Babar Azam's side can cope up without their in-form batsman in Johannesburg. Meanwhile, Sharjeel Khan would be hoping to make the most out of this opportunity given to him.
