The 29th match of the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League is being played between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Gujarat Titans (GT). After winning four games out of five played, Gujarat Titans are eyeing to gain another two points against the defending champions when they meet them on Sunday evening.

It started well for the new entrants called it right at the flip of the coin. However, their fans were surprised not to see their regular captain, Hardik Pandya walking out for the toss. GT vice-captain Rashid Khan was seen walking out with Ravindra Jadeja for the flip of the coin. The new leader for Gujarat revealed that Hardik has not yet fully recovered from the groin injury he sustained during the match against Rajasthan Royals.

"Bit of stiffness in the groin area for Hardik, so as a team we didn't want to take a chance. He will rest and hopefully be back for the next game," said Rashid at the toss. Notably, Pandya had left the field after facing some difficulty with his groin while bowling. Pandya was replaced by Wriddhiman Saha. The second change to GT's playing XI was Matthew Wade being replaced by Alzarri Joseph.
