Shreyas Iyer played one of the finest innings for Kolkata Knight Riders on Monday evening against Rajasthan Royals. However, despite playing a blistering 85-run knock, the KKR skipper could not win the game for the side and the team had to face their fourth defeat in the tournament.
The newly-appointed skipper has earned a lot of appreciation all-around for his impressive captaincy skills in the tournament and also being regarded as the future star of Indian cricket. Iyer, who is enjoying a massive fan following in the nation, received a marriage proposal from a female Kolkata fan.
In a picture posted by the KKR franchise on Twitter, a female fan held a placard with a marriage proposal for the Kolkata skipper. She wrote, “My mom has asked me to find a guy, so will you marry me, Shreyas Iyer?” The picture was shared via the official Twitter account of Kolkata with a caption, “That’s one way of shooting your shot!”
