The World No. 1 produced a brilliant performance at Centre Court on Saturday to clinch the Wimbledon 2021 title. Ashleigh Barty defeated Karolina Pliskova 6-3, 6-7 (4), 6-3 in the grand finale.

7:55 PM IST: Pliskova wins 2nd set tie-breaker

Karolina Pliskova has taken the championship match into a deciding set after winning the second set 7-6 (4). The Czech tennis player turned around the match with a fantastic sequence of play as eventually a double-fault from Barty handed Pliskova 7-4 win in the tie-breaker. The match goes into the deciding set at centre court.

7:48 PM IST: 2nd set goes to tie-brekaer

Karolina Pliskova has certainly made her way back into the match with a much better show in the second set. Although Barty had an opportunity to serve for the title, Pliskova broke her in the final game to take the game into a tie-breaker. Can Barty hold her nerve and seal the win or will Pliskova take the match into a decider.

Pliskova will see World No. 1 Ash Barty in the Wimbledon Women's Singles final on July 10. Notably, she came from one set down beating Aryna Sabalenka 5-7, 6-4, 6-4.

24-year-old Polish tennis player Hubert Hurkacz produced a sensational result at Centre Court on Wednesday as he knocked out 8-time Wimbledon Champion Roger Federer in straight sets. The 14th seeded player defeated Federer 6-3, 7-6 (4), 6-0 to go through his first-ever Grand Slam semis. 

10:15 PM IST: Federer loses 2nd set

Hubert Hurkacz is on his way of producing the biggest upset of the tournament as he is just one step away from going all the way to semi-finals of the Championship. After winning the first set 6-3, Hurkacz won the second set in tie-breaker.

14th seeded Hubert Hurkacz stunned 20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer as the Polish player won the first comfortably by 6-3.

At the age of 39 years and 337 days, Roger Federer has now become the oldest player ever to reach the quarter finals of Wimbledon Championships in the open era. The World No. 8 won the match 7-5, 6-4, 6-2. In the quarters, Federer will now face the winners of match between Medvedev and Hurkacz. 

12:13 AM IST: Federer wins the 2nd set

The Swiss Tennis ace produced a flawless performance in the second set to go 2-0 up against Lorenzo Sonego. Federer leads 7-5, 6-4 as the third set begins at Centre Court.

11:35 PM IST: Medvedev-Hurcacz match suspended due to rain

While the match at Centre Court resumed under roof, the same was not the case in the other Round of 16 match between Daniil Medvedev and Hubert Hurkacz taking place at Court 2. When the rain stopped play, Medvedev was leading the match 6-2, 6-7 (2), 6-3, 3-4.

Roger Federer clinched the first set under the roof at Centre Court after a slight stoppage due to rain affected Lorenzo Sonego's concentration as Federer won the set 7-5.

Hungary's Marton Fucsovics has pulled off one of the upsets of the tournament as he knocked out 5th seeded Andey Rublev 6-4, 4-6, 4-6, 6-0, 6-3 to set up a quarter-final meeting with Novak Djokovic. The 29-year-old has notably become only the 3rd Hungarian man to reach the quarter-finals at The Championships

BREAKING NEWS: Wimbledon 2021 to have full-capacity crowd

Things are indeed coming back to normal as Wimbledon confirmed that the Centre Court will have 100% capacity crowd for the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final of the Grand Slam. In addition, the Court No. 1 will also have full-capacity crowd for the quarter-finals. With this announcement, it will become the first sporting event in the UK to have a packed crowd in an outdoor stadium.

6th seeded Roger Federer has defeated home-boy Cameron 6-4, 6-4, 5-7, 6-4 in third round of Wimbledon 2021. The Swiss praised the youngster for playing a brilliant game as the duo produced a thrilling game of tennis at Centre Court on Saturday. "This one's special," Federer said after the match.

9:45 PM IST: Cameron Norrie fights back 

Cameron Norrie takes the third set 7-5 and has set the Centre Court on fire. We are set for a thrilling fourth set now and the atmosphere is absolutely electric inside the stadium.

9:25 PM IST: Nick Kyrgios withdraws from Wimbledon 2021

The Aussie tennis star has pulled out of the Grand Slam after suffering an abdominal injury in the Round 3 clash against Felix Auger Aliassime. After winning the first set, Kyrgios found it difficult to play with the injury in second set and decided to pull out with the score being 2-6, 6-1. 

"I did my abdomen at the end of the first set. I haven't played at this level of tennis for a while and my main weapon. I need that to be firing on all cylinders," said Kyrgios.

9:05 PM IST: Federer on course of an emphatic win

Roger Federer wins the first two sets against home-boy Cameron Norrie to take a healthy lead in Round 3 match. The Swiss legend is up 6-4 6-4 with 1-1 in the third set.

8:20 PM IST: Coco Gauff through to Round 4; beats Juvan 6-3 6-3

7:15 PM IST: Berrettini and Sonego win in straight sets

7th seeded Mateo Berretini defeated Aljaz Bedene 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 while 23rd seeded Lorenzo Sonego beat James Duckworth 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 to qualify for next round.

6:40 PM IST: Kerber overcomes a tricky challenge

After losing the first set, 25th seeded Angelique Kerber fought her way back into Round 3 match against Aliaksandra Sasnovich on Saturday. The German eventually sealed the victory 2-6, 6-0, 6-1 to advance to the next round.

After surviving a major scare in the first round, 20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer produced a classy performance on Thursday. The 39-year-old defeated Richard Gasquet in straight sets to clinch a 7-6, 6-1, 6-4 win to advance to the third round of the tournament.

2nd seeded Aryna Sabalenka fought her way back against Britain's Katie Boulter in the second round of Wimbledon 2021 to advance to next round. After dropping the first set, the Belarusian tennis star won the subsequent two sets to win the match 4-6, 6-3, 6-3.

9:55 PM IST: Shapovalov gets a walk-over

10th seeded Canadian Denis Shapovalov gets a walk-over in Round 2 as Spain's Pablo Andujar withdraws his name from Wimbledon 2021 due to a rib injury. Andujar had defeated Pierre-Hugues Herbert in a 5-set thriller in first round but had sustained an injury in the process. Notably, Shapovalov will now face the winner of Oscar Otte vs Andy Murray in the third round of the Grand Slam.

8:35 PM IST: Nick Kyrgios wins the marathon contest

Australia's Nick Kyrgios have secured an emphatic five-set win over 21st seeded Ugo Humbert. After the match was suspended last night due to 11 PM curfew in London, the players completed the last set where Kyrgios came out on top.

11:25 PM IST: Federer enters 2nd round as Mannarino retires after injury

Roger Federer has advanced to the 2nd round of Wimbledon 2021 after surviving a major scare on Tuesday. After winning the first set, his opponent Adrian Mannarino bounced back and won the next two sets. However, a knee injury to Mannarino in fourth set forced him to retire as Federer won the match 6-4, 6-7, 3-6, 6-2, 0-0 (Retired) via walkover.

Adrian Mannarino has won the third set of the match and needs one more set win to complete the big upset. The 33-year-old wins the set 6-3.

10:25 PM IST: Roger Federer drops the 2nd set

After winning the first set by 6-4, Roger Federer failed to capitalize as Adrian Mannarino fought his way back into the match by winning the subsequent set in tie-breaker.

9:50 PM IST: Zverev wants England vs Germany match to go to penalties

After Germany's Alexander Zverev completed a fantastic first round win against Tallon Griekspoor (6-1, 6-4, 6-1), he was asked by the presenter about the prediction for tonight's EURO 2020 Round of 16 clash between Germany and England. Zverev came up with a brilliant response as he said, "I just hope it goes to penalties...and then we will see."

41-year-old Venus Williams defeated Mihaela Buzărnescu 7-5, 4-6, 6-3 in a thrilling game of tennis on Tuesday. The American produced 10 aces in the match and won her first Wimbledon single's match since 2018 on her 90th appearance.

The second day of Wimbledon 2021 has started with some big names in action. Frances Tiafoe produced the first big upset of this year as he produced a stunning victory over Stefanos Tsitsipas in straight sets. The 23-year-old won the match in straight sets 6-4, 6-4, 6-3 to secure one of the biggest wins of his career.

8:20 PM IST: Djokovic seals the victory

The World No. 1 is through to the second round after completing an emphatic win against Jack Draper on Monday. After losing the first set, Djokovic bounced back and won the match by 4-6, 6-1, 6-2, 6-2. However, he was full of praise for his 19-year-old opponent for his impressive display.

After the match, Djokovic said, "He (Draper) definitely deserves a round of applause. A youngster, I think, only 19 ... Walking on to the Wimbledon Centre Court for the first time, I think he has done extremely well. He carried himself very maturely on the court, he behaved well, he backed himself."

After a slow start to the match, Serbia's Novak Djokovic is back to his best after he won the third set comfortably by 6-2. The 34-year-old has taken the momentum with him into the 4th set and is certainly cruising towards a victory.

7:15 PM IST: What a shocking start for Djokovic

The reigning champion has surprisingly lost the first set to home-boy Jack Draper. The 19-year-old played some beautiful tennis to complete a 6-4 win in the opening set. Djokovic has however bounced back with a better show in the second set, winning it 6-1.

2:30 PM IST: Djokovic eyeing to create history

After winning Australian Open and French Open this year, Serbia's Novak Djokovic has become the only man to have won the first two grand slam tournaments of a calendar year over the last 25 years, doing it in 2016 and 2021. He can create history by completing the hattrick at Wimbledon 2021. Notably, the last man to win the first three grand slams of a calendar year was Rod Laver during his Grand Slam in 1969. Additionally, he can also become only the first men's player to win Roland Garros and Wimbledon in the same year since Rafael Nadal achieved the feat in 2010.

2:25 PM IST: Konta forced to pull out of the tournament

Women's tennis player Johanna Konta (World No. 31) has been forced to withdraw her name from Wimbledon 2021 after coming in close contact with a coronavirus positive case ahead of the tournament. As per riles, Konta will have to undergo a 10-day self isolation and hence she has been replaced by China's Wang Yafan (World No. 123). Yafan will face Czech tennis player Katerina Siniakova (World No. 64).
