With the organizers deciding against the participation of Russian and Belarusian players in the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the men’s ATP and women’s WTA stripped the grass-court Grand Slam of ranking points. So, with no ranking points at stake, Wimbledon 2022 becomes an exhibition event with millions of dollars in prize money.
