The 2nd Test between Pakistan and Australia ended in a thrilling draw at National Stadium in Karachi due to captain Babar Azam’s stubborn resilience and vice-captain Md. Rizwan’s mature knock to deny any loose end for Australia to capture. Pakistan skipper registered his highest score in Test cricket (196), also achieving a feat of scoring highest in fourth innings by any skipper. Even Rizwan’s unbeaten ton helped Pakistan draw the match despite a late surge from Australia.

Like Rawalpindi’s pitch, Karachi’s hard and dry surface once again provided much trouble to bowlers. Even though Pakistan was bowled out for just 148 in the 1st innings of their batting, batters like Usman Khawaja (160 off 369), Babar Azam (196 off 425) and Md Rizwan (104 off 177) enjoyed in the middle, reaching the three-figure mark. While the match delivered some sensational batting and bowling display, it also saw Australian players filling in for home ground staff and brought out a hammer to level the landing area at the crease. While Cummins was seen in action during the 4th day of the 2nd Test, Warner hammered the pitch on Day 5.

A short clip of Warner fixing the pitch was shared by the official Twitter handle of Pakistan Cricket which grabbed the attention of even his wife, Candice Warner, who took a jibe at the Australian opener with a sarcastic comment.

She reshared the video with a caption, “I wish @davidwarner31 would do this a little bit more around the house!!”

As Candice reshared the video with a cheeky dig at Warner, the comment section was flooded with cricket fans guessing if the Australian opener enjoys household chores or not. However, the couple is often seen recording entertaining Instagram reels and treating their fans by posting them on social media.

Speaking of Australia’s tour of Pakistan, both sides will now be desperate to register maiden win of three-match Test series in the 3rd Test at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium after first two Test matches ended in a draw.

Post-Pakistan tour, David Warner will tour India to participate in the highly-anticipated Indian Premier League. He will be donning Delhi Capitals’ jersey after being released by SunRisers Hyderabad. The former SRH skipper was picked by the franchise for a fee of INR 6.25 Crore. However, Warner, along with other Australian cricketers like Pat Cummins, Steve Smith will miss the first few matches of IPL.
