India's all-format captain Rohit Sharma is regarded as one of the best batters amongst the current crop of generation. Widely known for perfect timing of the ball, Rohit Sharma has also gained popularity for having great sense of humor off-the field.

While Rohit Sharma and few others were rested from the ODI leg of the tour, Shikhar Dhawan led relatively younger squad in three-match ODI series which Team India clinched 3-0. The stand-in skipper Shikhar Dhawan delivered impressive performance in three-matches and made immense contribution in team's title triumph.

Recently, former Indian off-spinner Pragyan Ojha made an interesting comment when he said that Dhawan is looking in good touch and Rohit Sharma wants him to be part of the upcoming 50-over ODI World Cup. "Rohit Sharma wants Dhawan in India's ODI World Cup set-up and that one of India's most successful opening pair of all time is likely to reunite at the top one final time in ICC events," said Ojha.

The former Indian cricketer also added that both the players share great rapport with each other which will surely translate in the middle and can work really well for Men in Blue in the marquee tournament. When asked to react on Pragyan Ojha's comment and observation, Rohit was surprised to know that his former teammate has become a commentator. ""Pragyan? Pragyan aaj kal commentary karne laga hai kya? Sahi hai, chalo achhi baat hai (Pragyan? [Pragyan? Has he started doing commentary? Well, alright, it's good]," said Rohit in a hilarious way.

Adding further, Rohit Sharma said that every player wants to build a great reputation with their teammates as it helps them to work with each other during the game. "Shikhar is an experienced player and he understands the game well. We all want to have good coordination with each other so that we can understand each other well, and pull of games of our country," added Indian skipper.

Notably, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan are regarded as one of the most successful opening pair for Team India and have the most runs (5125) as an opening pair after Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly. The Rohit-Dhawan duo have 15 half-centuries and 18-century stands. The pair of Rohit and Dhawan has the fourth-highest runs by an opening combination in ODIs.
