The stage is set for the Women’s T20 Challenge final at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. It will be Supernovas up against Velocity this time around in the summit clash – a match that has the makings of a blockbuster of an encounter.

While Supernovas had scored 163 in the tournament opener to set up the highest total in this tournament, Velocity ended up with 174 after Trailblazers had broken that record later posting 190. If that is anything to go by, this could be a thrilling fixture with both sides winning one and losing on their way to the finale.

1. Toss Prediction

While Supernovas have won 1 toss and lost the other in their 2 matches so far in the Women’s T20 Challenge this year, Velocity have won both their tosses in this edition of the competition. Going by the toss winning rate in this season alone, Velocity are predicted to win the toss ahead of the final.

2. Win Possibility

This could be a very difficult choice to make. Both these teams have won a game and lost the other out of their two. However, during these two side’s encounter in the league stage, it was Velocity who ended up clinching the match by 7 wickets. That might just give a psychological advantage to Velocity heading into this fixture, having beaten the same opponent earlier in the season. So based on that stat alone, predicting Velocity to win.

3. Team of the Day

The Team of the Day is Velocity who came out on top against Supernovas in their previous meet. Moreover, while they might have lost their previous match against Trailblazers, they ended up with over 170 which means their batting has been a real positive for them.

4. Powerplay Score

The average powerplay score for Velocity is 64 in their 2 matches so far. Meanwhile, Supernovas have an average powerplay score of 43.5. So while Supernovas could end with less than 50 in the first six overs, Velocity are predicted to end with more than 50 runs while the fielding restrictions are on.

5. Average first innings and second innings score

The average first innings score in this competition so far has been 167.66. The average second innings score has been 146.33. All the matches have been staged at the same venue – the MCA Stadium in Pune.
