The WWE WrestleMania Backlash 2022 event brought four thrilling fights, including one title match followed by a huge six-man tag team main event featuring five champions. While Cody Rhodes versus Seth Rollins was the most highly anticipated match of the event, an exciting Smackdown Women’s Championship match between Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey held everyone’s nerves as it themed ‘I Quit.’
Rhodes and Rollins exchanged hold to begin the match, with Rollins generally getting the better of the counters. Rhodes chased Rollins around the ring as Mr. “Freakin'” cut him off inside the ring and firmly took control of the match. Rhodes won back some momentum by slamming Rollins’ face into the corner steps. However, it was short-lived as Rollins turned Rhodes inside out with a clothesline ringside.
A chain of transitions followed for each competitor. Rollins rolled up Rhodes with the tights and Rhodes in return rolled through and grabbed the tights for a three-count. Eventually, Rhodes defeated Rollins with a pinfall.
Another highly anticipated match was between Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey. Latter counter-attacked an early Figure Eight attempt and landed a flying knee on Fair. “The Queen” brought two kendo sticks and attacked Rousey on the backbone. “Rowdy” then turned the game on its head as she got a hold of two kendo sticks and repeatedly struck Flair.
Flair taunted Rousey as she wished her Mother’s Day, but then Rousey took pulled off advantage of Flair’s arm inside a steel chair and snatched the armbar. Rousey torqued the armbar, and Flair screamed, “I Quit!”
