New Zealand are slated to play two Tests against England. The first game will take place between June 2 and 6 at Lord’s while the second game will be played at Edgbaston between June 10 and 14. The Kiwis will then get themselves ready for the WTC final against India starting June 18.
Meanwhile, the Virat Kohli led Indian team are currently quarantining in Mumbai from where they will take a flight for the United Kingdom on June 2 to play the Test finale against new Zealand.
It is worth noting that after the WTC final, Team India are slated to play a five-match Test series against England starting August 4. The series will see its last game being played between September 10 and 14. Reports suggest that the BCCI is planning to tweak the gaps between games in the series to make the month of September clear from India’s international calendar so that it could host the remainder of IPL 2021. Some reports also say that BCCI has made a formal request to ECB regarding the change in dates of the series.
