Against all the odds, fans got to witness one of the most exciting encounters of the UAE leg of IPL 2021 on Wednesday. It was expected that Royal Challengers Bangalore would easily register a win against Sunrisers Hyderabad, who have been reeling at bottom of the table throughout the season. But the tournament continues to amaze us every other day and as it happened, it was SRH who came out on top, almost squandering RCB's hopes of a top-two finish.
It all started when Jason Roy (44 off 38) and Kane Williamson (31 off 29) used their experience and made vital contributions to take their side to a competitive total of 141/7 in 20 overs. It seemed like it was never going to be enough against a strong RCB side but the bowlers of Orange Army produced a remarkable display on the field in the second innings.
All the SRH bowlers joined the party and took 1 wicket each as RCB eventually fell 4 runs short of the target. While Devdutt Padikkal came under the radar for his slow knock (41 off 52), Kane Williamson earned praises for his captaincy and his fielding masterclass to run out Glenn Maxwell, which turned out to be the turning point of the match.

It was undoubtedly a sad day for RCB fans who were expecting their side to win this contest. While some users had no words to describe the match, the others just expressed their sorrow of missing out on a top-two place which could have given them an extra opportunity to go through to the finals.
