It was a clinical performance from Delhi Capitals to beat Punjab Kings by nine wickets and more than 9 overs to spare. After bowling out Punjab Kings for a mere 115, the opening duo of Prithvi Shaw and David Warner put on a show in the first six overs to strengthen their team's position. While Shaw departed after scoring a quickfire 41 off just 20 balls, Warner finished the game by scoring a brilliant half-century.
Earlier, Punjab Kings' batters looked clueless against DC bowlers and kept on walking back to the pavilion one after the other. After losing three wickets in the first six overs, Punjab never recovered fully. Jitesh Sharma was the highest scorer for Punjab with his 23-ball 32. Meanwhile, for DC, Khaleel Ahmed, Lalit Yadav, Axar Patel, and Kuldeep Yadav took two wickets each.
This out-and-out batting performance by Punjab Kings attracted some trolling from Twitter users while DC earned a lot of praise for their approach to the game.
