Day 3 of the India-South Africa Test in Cape Town turned out to be quite a controversial one. Rishabh Pant's heroic century meant that India had set up a competitive target of 212 runs for the home side and the game was indeed set for a thrilling finale. However, things got indeed very dramatic in the final half of the day as the home side came to bat.

After Mohammed Shami took the wicket of Aiden Markram, Keegan Petersen came in to join hands with Dean Elgar. The duo put up a brilliant partnership and they were literally taking the game away from India. However, this is when Ravichandran Ashwin showed his class as he deceived Elgar with a straight one and the SA captain was adjudged LBW.

Drama in Cape Town!

Although it looked plumb, Elgar decided to take a chance as he signalled for review. However, this is when the whole controversy began! Much to everyone's surprise, the replays showed that the ball was going over the wicket which left the Indian players absolutely fuming.

There was a common belief among the Indians that something was wrong with the technology. While Virat Kohli and Co. did not shy away from showing their frustration, Ashwin went on to take a huge dig at the broadcasters. "You got to find better ways to win Supersport, " the off-spinner was caught saying on the stump mic.
