Rated among the rising stars of Indian cricket, Shubman Gill is celebrating his 22nd birthday on Wednesday. The Kolkata Knight Riders star is receiving birthday wishes from all corners of the world; fans as well as people from the cricket fraternity of India are sending him wishes on social media. While most have only good things to say for the youngsters on his special day, former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has continued his good form on social media and come with a hilarious post, trolling the fellow cricketer from Punjab.

Taking to social media, Yuvraj shared two pictures and came up with a witty caption. "Shubbi I really enjoyed shooting with you but then I realised it’s not you - it’s your body double 🤪😂 Nice hair color bro 😎 Happy Birthday! Loads of love and good wishes for the @iplt20 @shubmangill 🎂," he captioned the post.

It should be noted that Yuvraj and Shubman share a great camaraderie. While Shubman treats "Yuvi Pa" as his elder brother, the swashbuckling left-handed batter also showers affection on Shubman in a similar fashion. Yuvraj is also known to be a mentor to Shubman and they have been spotted training together.

After being one of the stars for India at the U-19 Cricket World Cup, Shubman has been a consistent run-getter in domestic cricket. He was even the senior team's preferred opener in the ICC World Test Championship final against New Zealand at Southampton and was also part of the squad for the Test series against England until an injury ruled him out of the five Tests.

The right-handed batter is on his way to recovery though and is likely to be match-fit for KKR's first match of the second leg of IPL 2021 against the Royal Challengers Bangalore on September 20. He had a rather slow start to IPL 2021 in the first half and managed to score just 132 runs in the 7 matches with a highest score of 43 and an average of 18.85. Shubman's strike rate wasn't that encouraging either as he scored at 117.85 even lower than his overall IPL strike rate of 124.24.

Given the kind of potential he has, he would definitely want to improve on that and help his team reach the playoffs and perhaps even lift the trophy.
