The Battlegrounds Mobile Showdown 2022 kicked off on Thursday, with mightiest of the game up against each other. The first day saw some thrilling contest between teams like Orange Rock Esports, Team XO and Hyderabad Hydras who look good enough to give a tough challenge to others.

All the 24 teams have been divided into three group - A, B and C where each team will play four matches. The winner of the tournament will earn an invite to PMWI 2022 Afterplay Showdown.

Let's look at the highlights of the matches on Day 1.

BMSD Day 1 Summary

Match 1:

The opening match of the day saw Hyderabad Hydras topping the chart by winning the first match in Erangel which was played between Group A and Group B by 15 finishes. Team OR came second with 7 finishes while Orangutan secured the third position with 6 finishes. Strike was named as MVP by 9 finishes.

Match 2:

Team OR was able to secure the first position with 12 flags, followed by Team Godlike and TSM by 6 and 9 frags. Aaru was named MVP by the huge margin of 6 frags.

Match 3:

Aditya starred in the third match of Day 1 with 8 finishes. OR won the third match in Sanhok played between groups B and C with 17 massive finishes. XO secured the second position with 14 frags, followed by Slights with 7 finishes for third place.

Match 4:

Hyderabad Hydras emerged victorious in the 4th match of Day 1 which was played in Erangel between Group B and C with 12 massive finishes. XO secured the second position with 11 frags. Enigma Gaming ended up third by 6 finishes. Fierce was named MVP by 4 finishes.

Match 5:

Fifth match of the day was played in Mirama with Kylightz taking the game between groups A and C by 10 finishes. Team Hydra came second with 8 finishes. XO was able to secure third place with 12 finishes. Punk was named MVP by 7 finishes.

Match 6:

The day concluded with INS clinching the sixth game of the day. The match was played between groups A and B by 13 finishes. Team Enigma Gaming secured the second spot with 11 finishes, while Nigma Galaxy was able to secure third place with 4 finishes. Rex emerged as most valuable player with 10 finishes.
