The most anticipated clash amongst the two top teams of IPL this season was on 28th April 2026 in Mullanpur that resulted in PBKS facing their first loss of the season and Rajasthan Royals emerging victorious by 6 wickets. It all started with an aggressive powerplay batting approach from PBKS with Prabhsimran Singh’s 4th consecutive 50+ this season for PBKS and Cooper Conolly going all out. Although Shreyas Iyer couldn’t bank much this game but it was Marcus Stoinis scoring a 62* off 22 balls that took PBKS to 222.
Although RR didn’t have an impressive bowling performance today, also the absence of Ravi Bishnoi was felt but they didn’t leave any stone unturned while chasing. Wonder Kid Vaibhav Sooryavanshi once again got ballistic with a 16-ball 43 and Yashasvi Jaiswal 27-ball 51. Although after that RR was gasping for air after a few quick wickets, the duo of impact sub Shubham Dubey and Donnovan Ferreira’s partnership dismantled PBKS bowling.
Yashasvi Jaiswal once again proved why he is an asset for RR ,as he made yet another 50+ score that moves him to the third spot of most 50+ scores by RR in IPL elite list just after Sanju Samsona and Jos Buttler.
