Amit Panghal cruised to the quarterfinals after securing a victory against Namri Berri of Vanuatu in the men's flyweight 51kg category.

Mohammed Hussamuddin beat Bangladesh’s Md Salim Hossain 5-0 to reach the quarterfinals.

Swimming

Sajan Prakash finished 19th overall in the men's 100m butterfly and failed to reach the semi-finals.

Gymnastics

Pranati Nayak finished fifth with a final average score of 12.699 points in two attempts and is out of medal contention.

The 18-time national champion, Joshana Chinappa lost 9-11, 5-11, 13-15 to Canada’s Hollie Naughton in the Women's Singles Quarter-final.

Saurav Ghosal beat Greg Lobban of Scotland 11-5, 8-11, 11-7, 11-3 to reach the semi-finals of the Women's Singles event.

Cycling

Ronaldo Laitonjam finished fifth with a timing of 1:02.500 in the Men's 1000m Time Trial Final and is out of medal contention.

Hockey

India and England were involved in a tough battle until the last quarter of play. The match ended with a score line of 4-4.

Badminton

India beat Singapore 3-0 to enter the final of the Badminton Mixed Team event.
