However, during the ongoing season of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2025, a batter went on to smash 22 runs in a single delivery and ended up achieving an incredible feat. During the 13th match of CPL 2025 between Guyana Amazon Warriors and Saint Lucia Kings at Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, Romario Shephard smashes three sixes on a single legal delivery by Oshane Thomas.
Playing for Guyana Amazon Warriors, Romario Shephard came to bat while his team was struggling at 78/5 in 12.1 overs while batting first. After that, Shepherd put up a partnership of 102 runs with Ifitkhar Ahmed guiding Amazon Warriors to a big total. He ended up scoring 73* runs off just 34 balls hitting five fours and seven sixes as Guyana Amazon Warriors posted 202 runs for the loss of six wickets.
From BPL 2024 to CPL 2025, horror continues for Oshane Thomas
During his fiery knock, Romario Shephard took charge against Saint Lucia Kings pacer Oshane Thomas in the 15th over of the innings. Thomas went on to bowl three consecutive followed by three free-hit deliveries where Shephard ended up smashing three sixes. Before the actual legal delivery was bowled, Shepherd already collected 22 runs with the help of no-balls and free hits.
It was Oshane Thomas, who became victim of Romario Shephard’s fiery batting as he went on to bowl three consecutive no-balls. However, this was not the first time that Thomas shown such a disastrous bowling performance. During the Bangladesh Premier League last year, Thomas ended up conceding 15 runs on a single ball. Playing for Khulan Tigers in a match against Chittagong Kings in December 2024, Thomas bowled a delivery where the batter was caught inside a 30-yard circle. However, it turned out to be the no-ball. After that Thomas went on to bowl another no-ball and consecutive wide deliveries as the batting side collected 15 runs on a single delivery.
