Abhishek Sharma, the rising gem of Indian cricket has played a tremendous role with his opening performances for team India in the T20 format and has established himself as a regular starter in the team. Abhishek Sharma is currently ranked as No.1 T20 batsman by the International Cricket Council (ICC). Speaking about the rise of Abhishek, his father was seen expressing his gratitude to the former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh for playing an immense role in shaping his son towards success. He stated, “Yuvraj Singh also has a huge part to play in his making. He spent a lot of time with him, gave him advice and shared his experience, so thanks to him as well. Yuvi has helped him a lot to give international-level experience.”

Abhishek Sharma's father further added that now many big players and many good coaches have joined him, they have a lot of experience and expressed his delight at Abhishek having such great teachers. In the interview his father spoke about the life of Abhishek and how cricket has been the utmost priority to him and his son.

Abhishek’s father who used to be a cricketer in his early days stated that his power-hitting has developed over the years due to the rigorous training given by him to his son. He revealed that he used to make Abhishek face deliveries more than 150 km/h at 16 years of age which is why his power-hitting has developed naturally. He also stated that he hopes Abhishek continues his sensational form in the Asia Cup and reaches new heights with team India.
