The Indian cricket team will return to action after a month long break following their 2-2 series draw against England last month in the United Kingdom (UK). The Men in Blue will return to the field with their T20I setup as this year’s Asia Cup is set to be played in the T20 format. The continental tournament is scheduled to be played entirely in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 9 to 28.

Team India, who are the defending champions seeing they lifted the last edition, which was played in the ODI format, are placed in Group A alongside Pakistan, UAE and Oman. The Men in Blue, who will field their best XI under the leadership of Suryakumar Yadav after Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli’s retirement from T20Is, will kickstart their campaign against UAE on September 10.
