Indian off-spinner and one of the veterans of the game, Jayant Yadav is the latest to make a move ahead of the 2025-26 domestic cricket season. The Indian spinner, who donned the Haryana colours for over 14 years, has left the side and joined Puducherry for the upcoming season, ending his 14-year-long tie with the state after debuting with them in 2011-12.
The 35-year-old who has been out of the Indian setup for several years now, has reportedly been granted a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) by Haryana Cricket Association. As per ESPNcricinfo, the off-break bowler’s decision comes seeing him fight for a spot in the national side while he aims to be a multi-format player.

With this move ahead of the 2025-26 season, Yadav has put curtain on his 14-year-long stint with Haryana. Speaking of his stint with haryana, his most recent outing in the outfit came in the 2024-25 Ranji Trophy season, where he picked 28 wickets in eight matches. His last match came in February this year when Haryana faced Mumbai in the quarter-finals, where he finished with three wickets and also scored 40 runs across two innings.
Moreover, it has been understood that the team management has vouched on spin all-rounder Nishant Sindhu and Rahul Tewatia over Jayant Yadav. While he now moves to Puducherry, he will be one of the players alongside Madhya Pradesh all-rounder Puneet Datey and Mumbai wicketkeeper Siddhant Adhatrao.
