She stated that the Indian veteran has given it his all for the country and she has praised how Rohit Sharma is truly happy when his teammates succeed. Rohit Sharma made his international debut against Ireland in 2007 in Belfast but he didn’t get a chance to bat in the game as he was listed to bat at number 7. He has been an indispensable part of the Indian cricket side over the years and the fans still love to watch every bit of his action.
“To the man who has always put this sport, his team and his country ahead of all else. To a man who has played this sport with integrity, heart and selflessness. To the man who is truly happy when those around him succeed. To the man who gives his all for this game and those in it. If I had it my way I'd watch you for 19 more. Happy Ro day everyone,” quoted Ritika Sajdeh in her Instagram story. She has been actively seen on camera supporting her husband while he’s playing and now once again, she has posted a tribute to Rohit Sharma.

From redefining ODI batting to leading India to ICC glory
Rohit Sharma began his gloried international career in 2007 and his roles have been constantly evolving with every passing game. The former Indian captain has been lovingly called the “Hitman” and he has been the best Indian opener in this generation. He has played 511 international matches across all formats and he has scored 19,702 runs in fine fashion.
The Indian opener’s approach to white-ball cricket has definitely revolutionized the batting style of openers. He has scored 3 historic double-centuries in his ODI career and he is the only batter in the history of the game to achieve this feat. Despite Rohit retiring from the red-ball format and T20Is, he still continues to have his sustained impact in the 50-overs game for India. The 2027 ICC ODI World Cup would be his final target in his celebrated cricketing career.
Rohit Sharma’s role as captain in India’s history has indeed been an impactful one. India scaled magnificent heights in the ICC tournaments. He captured major global titles including the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 and the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. Even as his career enters its final chapters, the legendary leader continues to dominate the international stage. His 19 years of brilliance couldn’t have been celebrated any better as he was awarded the Padma Shri award today as well.
With Rohit Sharma gearing up for his one last final dance in the 2027 ICC ODI World Cup, it would be interesting to see if he can live up to the expectations. The Indian fans are eagerly anticipating the last appearance of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in the World Cup. Rohit Sharma would love to end his career on a high by winning the 2027 ICC ODI World Cup.
