Team India pacer Mohammed Shami’s estranged wife Hasin Jahan dropped a cryptic post on Instagram. Jahan and Shami are living separately for the last seven years and in July 2025, the Calcutta High Court instructed the Indian speedster to pay INR 4 Lakh to his spouse for her and their daughter's care. Since then, Hasin Jahan dropped a few posts on social media which grabbed a lot of eyeballs. In her recent post, she disclosed that she was pressured to stay mum against persecution but never gave up against evil powers under pressure.
In her social media post, she also claimed that she didn’t give up against mistreatment in 2018. “Pagal awara Kutto se darna hota mujhe, to 2018 me hi dar jaati. Jitna chahe jor lagale mujhe darane ki, jhukane ki, barbad karne ki mai Allah ke karam se aur mazboot aur mazboot bante jaungi inshallah," wrote Jahan on Instagram. Jahan’s post has come up days after Shami showed up in an interview and stated that he doesn’t want to live in the past.
Mohammed Shami and Hasin Jahan’s tumultuous marriage
Mohammed Shami and Hasin Jahan got married in 2014 but in 2018, their marriage fell apart when the latter accused the pacer of physical and mental harassment. She also filed for divorce against Shami. Jahan currently lives with their daughter Aaira, who is 10 years old.
On the work front, Shami is currently serving East Zone against North Zone in the Duleep Trophy 2025 match. Shami hasn’t been picked for the Asia Cup 2025 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), set to be played from September 9 to 28. His last outing for the Men in Blue came against New Zealand in the Champions Trophy 2025 final, held at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on March 9.
