Team India players went through Yo-Yo and Bronco fitness tests at the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru on August 31. Shubman Gill, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Arshdeep Singh, and Harshit Rana were some names who will participate in the Asia Cup 2025 but recorded their presence for the fitness test before the crucial assignment. Iconic players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, who will play the upcoming One-Day International (ODI) series against Australia Down Under, also went through the fitness examinations. As per the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), it was statutory for every contracted player to clear Yo-Yo, Bronco, DEXA scans, and blood tests to become a part of the team for the upcoming assignments.

According to renowned journalist Rohit Juglan, all Team India players passed the fitness tests comfortably with high scores. The biggest update is that India’s One-Day International (ODI) skipper Rohit Sharma also cleared the test. Pacer Prasidh Krishna cleared the test with magnificent numbers.

Team India’s upcoming assignments

Team India's next assignment is the Asia Cup 2025 to be played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 9 to 28. Following that, India will host the West Indies for a couple of Tests between October 2 to 14. After the Caribbean challenge, India will take on Australia in their backyard for three ODIs and five T20Is between October 19 and November 2.

After returning from Australia, India’s next challenge will be waiting at home as South Africa will tour the sub-continent nation for two Tests, three ODIs, and five T20Is to be held between November 14 and December 19. In Tests, Gill will be captaining the side while in T20Is, Suryakumar Yadav will be holding the reins respectively. In the 50-over format, Rohit Sharma will continue as skipper.
