On Tuesday, September 9, following the conclusion of the SA20 2025 player auction in Johannesburg, South Africa, the defending champions, MI Cape Town have completed their squad for the upcoming season of the league. The signing of Protea batter Rassie van der Dussen for INR 2.61 Crore in the early stages of the auction set the tone for MI-based franchise, apart from bringing some more quality players into the fold.
Defending champions MI Cape Town had opted for the full six-player allowance and Wildcard in a bid to consolidate the core of their Season 3 championship-winning squad, whilst bolstering the squad with the addition of West Indies superstar Nicholas Pooran as their pre-signing.
