SA20 2025-26 Sunrisers Eastern Cape Full Squad: After Aiden Markram's exit, Sunrisers eye glory with new-looking squad

On Tuesday, September 9, following the conclusion of the SA20 auction in Johannesburg, South Africa, the two-time tile winners, Sunrisers Eastern Cape completed their squad for the upcoming season of the league. After retaining only Tristan Stubbs, who has been named theri skipper, from their previous season’s squad and picking Marco Jansen as their wildcard, they went out to acquire the likes of Quinton de Kock, Matthew Breetzke, pacer Anrich Nortje, among others.

While they had acquired Jonny Bairstow, Adam Milne and Allah Ghazanfar as their pre-signings, they went on to splurge their remaining purse of USD 1.2 million. It is to be noted that Matthew Breetzke was their top buy at the auction table, securing a deal of INR 3.07 Cr, followed by Anrich Nortje and Quinton de Kock.
