With the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 just a few days away, Pakistan Women recently concluded their three-match ODI series against South Africa at home. The series saw the Women in Green go down by 1-2 margin, getting a consolation six-wicket win the final ODI, which was played on Monday, September 22 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

After South Africa Women won the toss, they elected to bat first. On the back of a decent 28-run knock at the top of the order from skipper Laura Wolvaardt, the side posted 115 at the loss of 10 wickets in 25.5 overs. In reply, Pakistan Women chased the total in 31 overs, courtesy an unbeaten 50 from Sidra Amin and 76-ball 44 from opener Muneeba Ali.

Fatima Sana does Haris Rauf’s controversial “plane crash” gesture in 3rd ODI; goes viral

During their run-chase, an unexpected incident unfolded as skipper Fatima Sana was seen emulating pacer Haris Rauf’s controversial jet plane crash gesture. With Pakistan Women needing just five runs off 120 balls and Sidra Amin and Eyman Fatima in the middle, on the sidelines, Fatima Sana brought up plane crash gesture, once again.

It came as a mockery to India’s Operation Sindoor, where Pakistan made baseless claims of downing six jets in the four-day scuffle following Operation Sindoor. While this isn’t the first instance as earlier, Haris Rauf also made a similar gesture during his side’s six-wicket defeat. In another instance, Pakistan’s U-17 football Mohammad Abdullah also emulated it after scoring a goal in the 43rd minute during SAFF U-17 Championships match against India.
