Former Team India leg-spinner Amit Mishra has attacked Pakistan verbally prior to the Asia Cup 2025 final in Dubai. The arch-rivals will take on each other for the third time in this competition and the first time in the final of Asia Cup's 41-year history. India, who have prevailed against the Men in Green on both occasions at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, will strive to produce their best to dominate Salman Ali Agha and his men to retain the title. India have been extraordinary in the tournament so far while Pakistan’s campaign has been shaky. In the Super 4 round, the Green Army qualified for the final after beating Sri Lanka and Bangladesh but in both matches, their batting frailty came out in the open.

A day ahead of the clash, emotions are high among former players of both teams. Amit Mishra, who served India in 68 international games, has called India favourites for the high-voltage final. He called Pakistan no match for India. "The only thing they are better at is talking. They are not even close to us in terms of thinking, strategy, batting, or bowling. In terms of cricket, they don't have an answer for us,'' said Mishra while speaking to news agency ANI.

Pakistan have an upper hand against India in finals of multilateral tournaments

In the finals of the multilateral tournaments, Pakistan’s record is notable against India. Both teams have played 12 finals against each other in which India have emerged victorious four times while Pakistan have bagged eight triumphs. Last time, both teams clashed against each other in the multilateral competition’s final was in 2017 with their contest in the Champions Trophy final held at The Oval.

Under Sarfaraz Ahmed, Pakistan won that game by 180 runs and performed a major turnaround as India were considered favorites before the contest. This time, Pakistan supporters are expecting their side to replicate something like that and India fans want their team to be wary of Salman Ali Agha and his boys.
