In the match 17th of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup (CWC) 2025, Australian fielder Beth Mooney took a stunning catch to dismiss Fahima Khatun of Bangladesh in the latter half of the innings at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. In the 42nd over of the Bangladesh batting effort, right-arm pacer Annabel Sutherland bowled a shorter length delivery, which Fahima Khatun tried to cut over the backward point region.
But the right-handed batter could only hit it within the range of Beth Mooney stationed in the area, who had to time her jump to perfection to complete the catch with both hands, reducing Bangladesh to 153/7. Apart from Rubya Haider’s 44 off 59 at the top of the order and unbeaten 66 off 80 from Sobhana Mostary, the rest of the Bangladesh batting lineup weren’t a match to the Australian bowlers.

The spin trio of Alana King, Ashleigh Gardner, and Georgia Wareham took two wickets apiece during the Bangladesh batting effort while Annabel Sutherland also took two wickets and Megan Schutt had to settle with one. Right-arm leg spinner Alana King delivered a sensational spell despite taking just two wickets, conceding just 18 runs in 10 overs, which included a whopping four maidens.
With that, Australia managed to restrict Bangladesh to 198/9 in their allotted 50 overs on a ground where they chased down 330 runs in their previous match in the tournament against co-hosts India.
