During India’s batting innings in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup (CWC) 2025 clash, captain Harmanpreet Kaur was apparently involved in a skirmish with the Pakistan bowler Nashra Sandhu. After playing one of the deliveries from the left-arm spinner back towards her, the 36-year-old got a stern look in response, which Harmanpreet Kaur didn’t like at all before she said something to her, and it seemingly looked like curse words.
While there isn’t a definitive way to conclude this, since the stump mic didn’t pick up what Harmanpreet Kaur said to Nashra Sandhu, the Indian and Pakistan players are far from friendly towards each other due to the strained political relationship. At the toss time, Harmanpreet Kaur didn’t shake hands of Pakistan captain Fatima Sana, keeping up with what the Indian men’s team did during the recently concluded Asia Cup 2025 under Suryakumar Yadav.

The Indian batting innings during the ongoing Women’s CWC match wasn’t the best by any stretch of the imagination with none of the batters going past the fifty-run mark. Harleen Deol top scored with 46 off 65, while all of their top eight batters managed to get into double figures, including a late flurry from Richa Ghosh, scoring unbeaten 35 off just 20 balls with three fours and two sixes to drag her team to 247 all out in 50 overs.
In pursuit of the 248-run target, as of this writing, Pakistan managed to reach 47-3 in 17 overs after India messed up their DRS calls badly, missing three wrong decisions from the on-field umpires while wasting both of them.
