Indian opening duo, Abhishek Sharma and Shubman GIll were seen celebrating the title victory in a car won by the left-handed batter. India defeated Pakistan by five wickets in the final in Dubai to win their ninth Asia Cup title on September 28. This has been a dominant performance by the Indian team so far as they didn’t lose a single game out of the seven matches they played in this tournament including the final.
One of the main reasons for India’s dominance in Asia Cup 2025 was the contribution by the opening batters, Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill. The young batters, essentially Abhishek, took the tournament on fire with their fiery batting. The left-hander scored 314 runs from seven matches at an average of 44.86 and a strike rate of 200. For his contribution, Abhishek won Player of the Tournament in Asia Cup 2025.
Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill’s post-match celebrations were worth watching
Along with the Player of the Tournament award, Abhishek Sharma also won a luxury Haval H9 SUV as price which is valued to be around 37 Lakh. After India’s victory, Abhishek and Shubman Gill were seen celebrating the title in Abhishek’s newly awarded car as the video went viral on social media. Not only this, Abhishek and Gill also shared a post on Instagram where both the players were seen holding an imaginary trophy together as India didn’t collect the trophy after winning the Asia Cup.
Notably, the Indian team refused to collect the trophy from Asian Cricket Council Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, who is from Pakistan. After that, Naqvi left the stage with the trophy and India have to leave the ground without the trophy. However, there was no limit by the celebrations from the Indian players despite not getting the trophy.
