Ahead of the highly-anticipated match between India and Pakistan in the ongoing Men’s Asia Cup 2025, underway in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Salman Ali Agha-led side once again were in news after they canceled their pre-match press conference. While the reason behind this move is not known, but is the speculated that it comes in order to refrain from answering any questions around the ongoing controversies surrounding them.

While this time, the Men in Green did not cancel their training session as they took the field at the ICC Academy to prepare for the upcoming game, where they will face India on Sunday, September 21 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. While they trained as a team, they were handed a boost as they were joined by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.

The PCB Chairman, who also holds the chair at the Asian Cricket Council, visited the team during the net practice. In videos going viral on social media, Mohsin Naqvi can be seen talking to head coach Mike Hesson and also interacted with the skipper. Apart from this, the PCB introduced a stress-management plan to ease pressure on players as they were joined by motivational speaker Dr Raheel Ahmed.

It is to be noted that the cancellation of press conference wasn’t the first instance as they took a similar decision ahead of their game against UAE last week.
