Former Team India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has gone unsold in the ongoing ILT20 2025 auction. The veteran was recently signed up by Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash T20 League. The 39-year-old possesses massive experience and excellent prowess which can be useful for any T20 team. In August 2025, he announced retirement from the Indian Premier League (IPL) to explore opportunities in foreign leagues. This year, he played his last IPL season for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) but couldn’t deliver his best. Appearing in nine matches, he could pick up seven wickets at an economy of 9.12.

In the ongoing ILT20 auction, his name was announced in the overseas category, with a base amount of $1,20,000. However, no franchise showed interest in him. Besides him, England legend James Anderson, World Cup 2019 champion Jason Roy, World Test Championship-winning skipper Temba Bavuma also failed to attract buyers.

Fakhar Zaman and Naseem Shah become part of Desert Vipers

Pakistan veteran opener Fakhar Zaman and young pacer Naseem Shah were sold to Desert Vipers. Zaman and Naseem were sold to the two-time runners-up at $80K each. However, there are clouds of uncertainty looming over their participation in the T20 extravaganza to be played from December 2.

Zaman recently served Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) while Naseem played his last international game against the West Indies in the ODI played in Tarouba on August 12, 2025.

Notable Pakistan players such Saim Ayub, Mohammad Haris, Faheem Ashraf and Imad Wasim will also go under the hammer. After 12 sets, Vipers have an amount of $5,92,500 left in the wallet while Gulf Giants and Abu Dhabi Knight Riders have saved $7,79,000 and 7,75,000 respectively.
