Calicut Globstars batter Salman Nizar showed absolute destruction with his bat in match number 19 of the Kerala Cricket League (KCL) 2025 against Adani Trivandrum Royals at Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. The left-handed batsman went on to smash 11 sixes from the last 12 balls of his innings Globstars registered a 13-run win over Royals.

Batting first, Calicut Globstars were struggling as they kept losing wickets at the regular intervals. Maruthungal Ajinas played a steady knock of 51(50) runs hitting three fours and four sixes. However, none of the other batters could stay at the crease for long. After 18 overs, Globstars were reduced to 115/6 before Salman Nizar took charge of the innings for the last two overs.

Salman Nizar smashes 69 runs in the last two overs

Calicut Globstars were at 115/6 after 18 overs with just two over left in the innings. However, these two overs were enough for Salman Nizar to completely change the momentum of the game with his destructive batting. The left-hander went on to smash five sixes in the first five balls of the 19th overs and took a single on the last ball. In the 20th overs, Nizar went on to hit a six on the first ball. After that, Adani Trivandrum Royals pacers went bowled a wide and a no-ball respectively. On the free-hit, Nizar took a double and then went on to smash five sixes on the last five balls.

From 115/6 after 18 overs, Calicut Globstars ended up posting 186/6 in their 20 overs smashing 71 runs in the last 12 balls, Salman Nizar smashed 69 runs in the last 12 balls hitting 11 sixes.. He remained unbeaten on 86*(26) runs hitting 12 sixes. Eventually, Adani Trivandrum Royals were bowled out for 173 runs in 19.3 overs as Calicut Globstars won the match by 13 runs.
