India is never short of talent when it comes to cricket. Every year there are plenty of new players with new stories who are on the rise. These youngsters have shown immense potential and caught the eye of fans, experts and former cricketers. Here are some of the players who have have done well this year and shown a glimpse of their talent. We look at top 5 Rising starts in Indian cricket.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi
14 year old Suryavanshi became rose to fame in IPL 2025. Playing for Rajasthan Royals against Gujarat Titans, he smashed 101 runs off just 38 balls, featuring seven boundaries and 11 sixes. He reached his hundred in 35 deliveries, the second-fastest in IPL history and the fastest by an Indian. He scored 252 runs in seven matches for RR. He continued his rise in Emerging Asia Cup 2025 where he hammered a 32-ball century against the UAE. Later playing for Bihar, he smashed a 58-ball unbeaten 108 against Maharashtra, becoming the youngest player in tournament history to score a century. Suryavanshi at such a young age looks like he will be the one to watch out for in the upcoming years.

Priyansh Arya
Priyansh Arya is another left hand batter. He made a mark in the Delhi Premier League 2025. He was selected for Pubjab Kings and opened the batting for them. Priyansh was very successful in IPL 2025 and helped his side reach the Final. He then went on to play for India A and has done well in the limited chances. He is another Rising youngster of Indian cricket.

Sai Sudharsan
Sai Sudharsan has been playing for the last few years but has gone under the radar but this year has been different. In 2025 he was the leading run getter in IPL winning the Orange Cap and also Emerging Player Award. Soon he was awarded a debut for India test side and has played a lot of Test this year. His rise this year has been incredible and despite a few lows overall it has been a good year for him.

Ayush Mhatre
Ayush Mhatre, the Mumbai born player was brought as replacement pick by Chennai Super Kings and he made an immediate impression in the matches he played. He looked at ease and dominated in IPL. He is currently leading the Under 19 side for India and will be the captain in Under 19 World Cup next year. He is one for the future and 2025 has thrown out a gem of a player in Ayush Mhatre.

Kartik Sharma
Born and raised in Rajasthan, he made his debut for Rajasthan’s senior team last year and has since become a regular player across all three formats. He went on to become Rajasthan’s top scorer in the 2024-25 Vijay Hazare Trophy, scoring 445 runs in nine matches. In 12 T20s, Kartik has amassed 334 runs at a strike rate of 164, hitting 28 sixes. He was sold to CSK for a whopping 14.2 Crore in the IPL Mini Auction. He is the next generation wicket-keeper and all the eyes will be on him going forward.
