Gujarat Titans started well in IPL 2025 but later lost their way. They would like to avoid that in the coming season. Gujarat Titans retained 20 players from their IPL 2025 squad for Rs 112.10 crore, and now they will enter the IPL 2026 auction with a purse of Rs 12.90 crore in the bag. In the upcoming auction scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi on December 16, GT can sign as many as five players and have four overseas slots. Here’s a look at the five possible targets for GT in the IPL 2026 auction.
1.Liam Livingstone
Livingstone fits nicely in their middle order and can provide value. Despite some inconsistent performances recently, England all-rounder Liam Livingstone remains a proven commodity in T20 leagues globally. His ability to hit sixes at will and chip in with both off-spin and leg-spin makes him a coveted utility player and he is likely to earn big money at the upcoming IPL 2026 auction. Livingstone has scored 1051 runs in 49 IPL matches for three teams – RR, PBKS and RCB.
2. David Miller
Gujarat Titans have traded Sherfane Rutherford ahead o the season which opens up space for a finisher. Miller has played 41 IPL matches for GT from 2022 to 2024. Overall, he has 3077 runs to his name in 141 IPL matches for four teams. So to fill in this void, GT need a strong middle power-hitting player who can control the second half of the innings. One player they can target is David Miller (released by LSG). It is vital to note that Miller has earlier played for GT from 2022 to 2024. In these three years, David Miller made 950 runs at a strike rate of 145.25 in 38 innings. In IPL 2025 with LSG, he scored 153 runs from 11 matches at a strike rate of 128.
3.Ben Dwarshius
Since GT does not have a reliable left-arm seamer in their ranks, Ben Dwarshuis will be a suitable pick for them. If not as a starter, he can be used as a backup, especially when Kagiso Rabada injury prone He also adds value with the bat. He did really well for Australia in the international circuit this year and can be a handy option for this Gujarat Titans side
