Afghanistan lost to New Zealand and South Africa in the WT20 and were knocked out before making it to the Super 8 stage. There were a lot of questions regarding the form of Mohammad Nabi and whether this would be his last WT20 due to his age. But the recent statement by Mohammad Nabi has made it clear that he does not have retirement plans anytime soon.

Afghanistan will be playing in 2027 World Cup and 2028 WT20 and going by Mohammad Nabi’s statement that he will not retire till Afghanistan win a World Cup it seems a tough ask for them to clinch the title. So how long will Nabi continue going and that is a question only time will tell.
