It is an absolutely brilliant development, of course, that of lately, one of the teams that gets around to play quite a lot of cricket against Afghanistan is Team India. Whether you speak of the period of June 2018 when at the Chinnaswamy stadium at Bangalore Afghanistan played their maiden test against India to the more recent times where they recently played a bi lateral white ball series in India, the cricketing ties between the two nations have only evolved and come to be close.
Even in the Indian Premier League, the leading franchise based white ball series in the world where it comes to T20 cricket, the presence of Afghan players has only strengthened their cricket and added an element of familiarity to their game.
Adding another touch of closeness to that accord is a soon-to-be-held white ball series featuring India and Afghanistan, all of which will be held entirely in Delhi.
And interestingly, the same is being dubbed Afghanistan hosting India when the venue is Delhi NCR, where at Greater Noida, three T20 internationals are to be played.

The said series, sources suggest, is to be held during mid September. And it’ll once again be a great opportunity to see brilliant and capable talents from either sides engaged in a test of T20 supremacy. Cricketers like Ishan Kishan, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Shreyas Iyer and the likes shall get a chance to test their skill and competence against a familiar opposition that is powered by talented matchwinning names like M. Nabi, Rahmat Shah, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Gulbadin and Rashid Khan among the others.
Possibly the reason for the series being a T20 outing for both sides could very likely be the fact that just recently in June, one saw the teams contesting in one day contests in which India easily whitewashed the Afghanistan opponents and hence, made lightwork of their side.
