Renowned influencer and online streamer Darren Jason Watkins Jr, better known as IShowSpeed once again entered his name into record books. The 21-year-old, who made history during the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final by becoming the first content creator to perform live at the ceremony, has reached another milestone. Speed’s performance on his hit World Cup song, “Champions” has crossed 30 million views on FIFA’s official channel. Not only this, but it has also become the most-watched 2026 FIFA World Cup Performance, surpassing the performances of stars such as Justin Bieber, Shakira, BTS, and more. 

During the high-voltage final between Spain and Argentina, IShowSpeed took the stage and performed his viral song. The act happened during the closing ceremony in front of more than 82,000 fans at the New York New Jersey Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. For the unversed, Speed is known for his loud and energetic reactions, livestreams, gaming videos and his fandom for Cristiano Ronaldo. 

FIFA Secured Rights to IShowSpeed’s World Cup Anthem: Reports 

As per reports, FIFA has secured rights to Speed’s song “World Cup (Champions)”. The song was released on June 1 and quickly went viral to become one of the most popular football songs. In the first month of its release, the song gained more than 90 million YouTube views. According to Speed, FIFA approached him to get the rights to use the track during the tournament. 

Following the completion of the tournament, there have been reports circulating on the internet suggesting that Speed has been officially banned from entering Argentina after his coverage. However, there is no evidence to support the claim and no Argentine government official has announced the ban. Notably, the claims came after it was believed that Speed spread “hate” against the country with his stream.
