The Chennai Super Kings have gotten off to a dominant start in the 2nd innings as they have dismissed 3 of Mumbai’s batters in quick succession. Danish Malewar was brought in as the impact sub and he was dismissed for a golden duck by Akeal Hosein. Naman Dhir walked in to bat at number 4 and he was dismissed for a duck as well. The Mumbai Indians will have to get a hold of the game if they are to fight back in this game. As it stands, it seems that the Chennai Super Kings are running away with the game as the wickets are just falling minutes apart. Akeal Hosein still has a couple of overs to go and that won't be very promising for the Mumbai Indian

The Mumbai Indians have lost 3 of their top order and the responsibility will lie with Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma to get their side across the line. They haven’t been able to contribute much as a pair as they have gone through lean patches but Tilak Varma displayed a fine performance last time out. Suryakumar Yadav will have to pull off something similar if the home team needs to get a move on in the game.

Hosein strikes twice in powerplay as Mumbai Indians collapse early in chase

The Chennai Super Kings were brave to start the spell with Akeal Hosein and they were confident in his abilities. Another factor was that there was not much due in the game and the spinner was able to grip the ball quite well. Akeal Hosein conceded a boundary of Quinton de Kock and he was under pressure to hit the right lengths. Towards the end of the over, he got rid of Danish Malewar with an absolute ripper and he had pulled off his mask celebration. He was brought in again to bowl the third over and it was Naman Dhir at the crease. He bowled a wonderful delivery that drifted straight onto the stumps and he showed his mask celebration yet again. Akeal Hosein picked up two crucial wickets in the power play and that could be the game for the Chennai Super Kings.

As it stands the Mumbai Indians are 29/3 after the 6 overs and they do have some batting to come. Unless the home side manages a flourishing partnership, the Chennai Super Kings could be on their way to yet another victory in the season
