It’s not such a rare moment when a great of the IPL himself makes some amazing, encouraging, brilliant comments about another IPL great in the works. In the past, it has happened that many youngster who are rising in their game and the craft have been admired and appreciated by the established figures. We have seen how MS Dhoni appreciated Ruturaj Gaikwad and had a kind thing to say here in there about the current captain of CSK.

We’ve also seen how Hyderabad’s Abhishek Sharma was appreciated, guided and branded as a great in the works by none other than Yuvraj Singh, the left hand who also happens to be from the same region – Punjab. Then we’ve seen most recently. Mitch Marsh saying great things about Cooper Connelly, who is currently with the Punjab franchise. A great and encouraging word from establish in pre-eminent names goes a long way to motivate and guide those who are rising in the ranks. Doesn’t it?

na most recently at the back of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s brilliant innings against SRH team, none other than Andre Russell, who is himself, an icon of the IPL and approving all-rounder, has had something fabulous to say about the brave and committed left hander.

Last evening, Sooryavanshi almost hit a 100 and fell shot by a margin of three runs scoring 97 runs on his own. His knock was definitive to Rajasthan’s success in what was clearly a must win game for the RR franchise, but truth be told his entertaining knock did not just entertain those who watched the game in its live proceedings, but had for reaching effects on former giants of the IPL, who have themselves entertained time and again.

And it can be said that Suryavanshi and the way he batted truly entertained Andre Russell, who has been a great six hitter himself.

In the aftermath of Rajasthan, win against Hyderabad, the West Indian cricketer had something amazing to write on a social media channel, Instagram actually, about Vaibhav Suryavanshi, and he had the following things to say -

“Congratulations. Haters will say you’re not 15 years old. But 30 years old players out there trying to do the best what you’re doing. Keep going. I’m a big fan. See the ball, hit the ball”

Russell pointed to the rather uncomplicated and freakish talent of Sooryavanshi’s, who simply sees the ball and hit the ball and so doing, goes for the target. I am coming from none other than a giant hater of sixes a monster with the bat as he’s been called. These are really big and popular words. The left hander must cherish these. Well done to him.
