From being practically a child who first broke into the testing waters of the Indian Premier League finding a place in the famed Rajasthan Royals side to scoring the fastest 500 runs in the Indian Premier League ever to scoring among the fastest centuries in the entire league (by anyone) to finally topping the run charts in the 2026 edition of the competition (where he struck north of 750 runs), Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has come a long way. And what’s rather interesting- and worthy of immense appreciation- is to note that he is just 15 years of age and yet to even complete 16!

Most recently, he was declared as a part of the men’s senior team that is visiting the United Kingdom with a white ball series beginning in Ireland, which was a huge moment really for the rising cricketer. He would exclaim with endless and indescribable joy- “words are not enough to describe the happiness, the feeling that I have”, when he was extended the coveted Indian cricket jersey. The same that Vaibhav Sooryavanshi would be wearing whilst competing against Ireland in Ireland (the series begins on 26th!).

And now, the avid youngster and hugely talented batter finds himself right on the cover page of the highly popular and widely noted Wisden Cricket monthly magazine!

This is no ordinary cricket publication. It’s among the widely read and most noted cricketing bulletins that has great insights, match reports and exclusive coverage on the game as we know it on different parts of the world, with developments in the UK finding prominent mention.

What’s further impressive to note on the already growing resume of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is the very fact that the cricketer born in Bihar and now being noted in different parts of the world, is already finding lucrative advertising opportunities, one of which happens to be Google.

Success, as they say, comes to those who chase perseverance. In the young cricketer’s case, it is coming naturally to someone who is pursuing the path of his dreams with rich aplomb and full commitment. The immediate 2 T20I’s against Ireland will give the left hander a glowing first chance to make his mark in an Indian jersey. And let’s hope he continues to make heads turn as only he can!
